Historically, Klout has had a very successful and entertaining relationship with the sports industry. We had a recurring column in ESPN the Magazine, a March Madness contest with the country’s most influential schools, and we even won the 2012 Barclays Global Marketing Excellence Award for Best Use of New Media with the NFL. For the start of this year’s NFL season, we’re back at it with new Perks campaigns to get fans rearing and ready to go.
The first campaign, which is also a first-of-its-kind Perk, is with the Washington Redskins. The Redskins are giving 150 women two Club Level Party Deck tickets to the home game against the Buffalo Bills on August 24th. On top of this, 50 of these influencers will stand on the field with the cheerleaders as the players sprint onto the field. This is a once-in-a-lifetime, dream experience for Redskins influencers, something they’ll share with their friends and remember for a long while.
The second campaign is with ESPN. Klout has a long history with ESPN, who has featured Klout in its magazine several times (we even did a hackathon together). The upcoming campaign with ESPN will reward influencers with a subscription to ESPN the Magazine as well as access to ESPN Insider, which includes premium content not available to everyday users.
