Klout for Android Brings Content Creation to Everyone

May 19th, 2014 by James Landau

Yes, it’s true: the long-awaited release of Klout for Android is finally here.

Back in February, we revealed #NewKlout, a platform for intelligently recommending content that will strike a chord with your unique audience on social. Our research showed that by sharing content like this, our users would be able to increase their impact online.

We also knew, though, that this was only the beginning. To truly help you be great at social media, we would have to make it even easier to create content wherever, whenever. Klout would have to go mobile.

Last month, we brought #NewKlout to iOS, and since then we’ve seen content creation explode. We’ve been particularly encouraged by the fact that users who share through our iOS app share twice as much as those who share through the desktop web app.

While #NewKlout in all its forms helps you discover and schedule relevant content, our mobile experience makes it particularly easy to generate personal and spontaneous content. Many of our best ideas happen while we’re on the move, exploring the world and learning new things. With Klout for iOS and Android, you can not only share these ideas instantly, but also quickly add original photos and location information, which increases the likelihood of engagement.

As with our iOS app, today’s Android release is just the first step toward our vision of helping you be known for what you love. Future versions will include expanded analytics on the Klout Score as well as fully integrated Klout Perks.
